Telangana Records Coldest Night of the Season; Sangareddy Hits 4.5°C
elangana recorded its coldest night of the current winter season on Saturday, with Sangareddy registering a minimum temperature of 4.5°C, the lowest across the state. Several districts reported single-digit temperatures, indicating intensified winter conditions.
According to weather observations, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad recorded 4.8°C, followed by Rangareddy at 5.1°C, Vikarabad at 5.8°C, and Adilabad at 5.9°C. Other districts, including Medak, Kamareddy, Siddipet, and Medchal-Malkajgiri, reported minimum temperatures ranging between 7°C and 7.5°C.
In Hyderabad, colder conditions were observed in multiple localities. Serilingampally recorded the lowest temperature in the city at 6.3°C, while Rajendranagar (7.4°C), Malkajgiri (7.5°C), and Chandanagar (8.4°C) also experienced low temperatures. Central areas such as Secunderabad, Begumpet, Mehdipatnam, and Charminar recorded minimum temperatures ranging from 10°C to 14.9°C.
Weather officials have indicated that cold wave conditions are likely to continue in parts of Telangana over the next two days. Clear skies, accompanied by morning fog and hazy nights, are expected to prevail, with minimum temperatures likely to remain 3–4°C below normal for this period.
